About the Design

The New Zealand Falcon / Kārearea. Crowned Bird of the Year 2012. These are apparently NZ's fastest flying birds, adapted to hunt through our dense forests and able to catch prey mid-flight! Unfortunately, NZ falcons' populations are declining as they are threatened by predation, habitat loss, and other environmental impacts.

    A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this design donates to The Nature Conservancy, a global nonprofit organization that conserves land and water. With support from their members, their team of more than 400 scientists impacts conservation in 73 countries and territories.
